FAQ

Common questions

Straight answers before you open a bar.

Is this for restaurants?

No. HomeTender is built for home bars and house parties — a private link you share with friends, not a POS or a restaurant QR menu.

How much does it cost?

It is free during the beta. You can open a bar from the homepage. We have not set a price after beta.

Do my guests need an app?

No. They open your link in the phone’s browser. They do not have to create an account to browse or order.

What if Wi-Fi drops during the party?

Placing an order needs a connection. If a tap fails, the guest sees an error and can try again — orders are not stored on the phone. Once an order is saved, it shows up live on your host dashboard.

Can I change the menu during the party?

Yes. Add, hide, or edit drinks from the host dashboard. Guests see the new list when they refresh or reopen the menu.

How is this different from a PDF or QR menu?

Those only display drinks. HomeTender takes live orders, lets you mark them preparing or served, and can show mocktails only when kids are around.

Do you sell alcohol?

No. HomeTender is a menu and order list for drinks you already have at home. Alcoholic recipes are for adults.

Can adults and teens use the same bar link?

Yes. You can leave the full menu up, or lock the public menu to mocktails only. The spirits stay in your library.
